What Data We Collect and Why
We only collect data we actually need.
When you visit our website
Our website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to collect standard usage data, including your approximate location, device type, browser, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This data is collected only after you have actively consented through our cookie banner. It helps us understand what content is useful and where the site can be improved.
We also use HubSpot, which may set cookies to track visitor behaviour and interactions with our website, including form submissions and page visits. HubSpot data is used solely to manage our newsletter and any collaboration enquiries we receive.
When you contact us
If you send us a message via our contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use this only to respond to you and do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit agreement.
When you sign up for our newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it only to send you the newsletter you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Newsletter contacts are managed through HubSpot.
When you click affiliate links
Our website contains affiliate links, primarily to Amazon and brand partner programmes. When you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. The retailers you visit through these links have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave our site. We do not receive any of your personal data from these transactions.
The Legal Basis for Processing Your Data
Under the GDPR, we must have at least one lawful reason to process personal data. For Green Goods Gallery:
- Google Analytics cookies: your explicit consent, obtained through our cookie banner before any cookies are set
- HubSpot tracking cookies: your explicit consent, obtained through our cookie banner
- Newsletter data: your explicit consent at the point of sign-up
- Contact enquiries: our legitimate interest in responding to messages sent to us
- Affiliate link tracking: handled by third-party platforms under their own legal bases
Cookies
We use cookies on this website. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function. Others are only placed after you have actively agreed to them through our cookie banner.
We do not set non-essential cookies based on implied consent or continued browsing. You can manage or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of this page.
Types of cookies we use:
- Functional cookies: necessary for the website to work. These do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics / GA4): help us understand how visitors use the site. Only placed with your explicit consent. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which passes consent signals to Google Analytics tags to honour your GDPR choices.
- Marketing and tracking cookies (HubSpot): used to manage newsletter subscriptions and contact interactions. Only placed with your explicit consent.
- Affiliate tracking cookies: placed by third-party affiliate programmes when you click a product link. Governed by the respective platform’s cookie policy.
Read our Cookie Policy for further details.
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We work with the following third-party services that may process your data on our behalf:

Used to manage our newsletter and contact forms. HubSpot provides GDPR compliance tools, including consent tracking, data subject access request handling, and permanent deletion functionality. Our website hosting provider
Your data may be processed by our hosting provider as part of running the website. We ensure appropriate data processing agreements are in place.
